High quality apartment

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Located just next to Chinatown, this area offers a fantastic selection of delicious food options. In addition to the vibrant dining scene, it's only a 3-minute walk to an indoor market where you can find fresh seafood, meats, and a variety of other local products. Just a bit further, about 5 minutes away, you'll find Marks & Spencer, a well-known high-quality food store, perfect for those seeking premium groceries. With such convenience and variety, this area provides everything you need for a delightful culinary experience and easy access to fresh ingredients.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The team resolves issues quickly and responds promptly to any concerns, ensuring that problems are addressed in a timely and efficient manner, making living here a hassle-free experience.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

An additional surprise I discovered after moving in is that some rooms on the ground floor come with outdoor patios, which I wasn't aware of before my move. This feature is a fantastic bonus, offering a private outdoor space that adds great value to the living experience.

Enough for me to choose to stay in an apartment but there is still room for improvement

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Walking in Tesco within 5 mins, M&S within 8mins, the closest Chinese shops within 3mins, most of Chinese quarter restaurants within 7 mins, as for a international student, it's really convenient to live in here. It takes average 11 mins for me to arrive at the railway station, 9 mins to bus stop(via UoB), that's will be better if we can take a bus to the university in the closest bus stop. It's quiet normally in the Forum, but I've been disturbed by the music noise of the residents next door, so I would like the apartment to be more strict about the noise caused by the residents. In terms of anti-social behaviors, I've smelled marijuana in my apartment, as well as pet feces, and I hope to be more regulated.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They would record the problem I was having and then fix it after a few hours

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

1.Where is my room in the whole building 2.What is the size of my bed 3.How do I register and pay for the water, electricity and gas network 4.How do I use the heating switch in the house 5.What do I do with my garbage and where do I throw it?

Manager response

Hello! Thanks for the very positive review. Apologies for the confusion of the utilities, we'll review how we explain this to residents prior to arrival and try and streamline this for the future. Thanks for feedback, and any issues during your time at The Forum don't hesitate to reach out.

The Forum, to me, is home.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I mentioned, when I first moved to The Forum, that I hope that it feels like a family. Now, and following major changes in the management crew, I can say that it looks like a friendly group of young professionals, and it feels like family.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Consistently friendly, helpful and in a timely manner

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The Forum has been well within my expectations and, with all needed improvements, still remains a favorite place to live in Birmingham.

Great stay

Henna Patel (Tenant)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lots of local shops including M&S, Chinatown and Spar around the corner, transport links are excellent, Birmingham new street station just around the corner. Parking is not the best, unless you want to pay for the Arcadian car park opposite which is quite expensive

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Rectified quickly or found a solution to the issue

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the lifts break often which was a bit of nightmare when moving things in sometimes and lots of pets running around on the rooftop terrance which stopped me from going there aswell as faeces
