A great place to live

Living hear was the best decision that we made. We are really happy with everything and love living here. The design, building and facilities are very clean, modern and it's visible that a lot of care goes into it. This was the first time we have moved somewhere and the flat was actually well cleaned and prepared for us. We lived at various places, great ones and bad ones and we would always have to do a crazy deep cleaning before moving anything in but at the Forge we actually came into a nice looking clean flat. We like using the facilities that are available to us and can't complain about any of them. The staff are always helpful and kind. Whenever we had a problem, it was solved fast and handled well. We highly recommend renting here!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The best things about living here are: - train station and bus stations are short walkable distance - you are located really close to the Quayside which is perfect for walks, running and beautiful views - the closest shop with food is just few minutes walk so if you run out of something you don't have to wait for your food to be delivered or travel far to the shops -you are close to cafes, restaurants and to the city centre in general -whilst located in the city centre, the area itself is not that busy. Some bad aspects that come to my mind are: - you can hear the trains and metro all day everyday as it's very close to both of these - parking not available within the development so that may prevent some from getting a car. - traffic noise - you do run into weird people from time to time but you can't avoid that when you live in a city centre.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

All problems were considered and resolved accordingly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing that comes to my mind is that I wish we knew the flats can get really cold throughout the winter so you have to be prepared to spend a lot on heating.

Perfect living space

The place is well designed, modern and the flats are well organised in terms of spaces and rooms. The building offers gym, 24h reception, co-working areas and parcel collection. On-site workers are always available for any maintenance and repair issues.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The place is very close to the city center and the river, where lots of restaurants and bars are. The train and metro station is 5 minutes walking distance from the place. There is no noise in the area and no antisocial behaviour has ever been conducted.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They are always super responsive to any queries and available to deal with all kinds of issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The place is close to the river, and the way to the city centre is up hill.

Expensive but worth the price, would recommend

The design is beautiful and modern, after a few years you notice things starting to break but management promptly replaces faulty appliances/fixtures with no questions asked. Never had a major problem in the 3 years I’ve lived here. There are often social events put on by management.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There is some noise late at night, but generally it’s a quiet and right next to the train station so great transport links.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Promptly and often carried out repairs without any questions and in any case within a few days of logging the request.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The council tax band is pretty high (B in the flat I live in), so you’ll pay a higher monthly premium.

We love the design of the flat

We love the design of the flat, it is modern and furnished nicely, we have a gym which is great and a lovely big lounge area. We think the management is good however noise complaints have taken a while to get resolved. We could do with more facilities perhaps a coffee machine with facilities or a vending machine.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Close to shops, amenities, quayside, transport (very close to train), however some noise due to traffic and often we do not get sunlight in our windows due to our specific flat.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

On the whole we have had a good response however they have taken a while to respond to a noise complaint we have had of an neighbour and this was still ongoing at the point of this review.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish we had knew how to manage our bills effectively and how to set this up from moving in, This is very much down to you.
