Friendly neighbourhood - poor KeepMoat gardens

Relatively small development, not much point in the green spaces they have left as they are so small. They should have given houses with bigger gardens instead Hellish 90 degree blind bend that is lethal when icy. No salt bin installed which is a hazardous.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Chester Le street area is great - good range of shops and restaurants, also handy for parks and local woodland walks. Living on the street is great, lots of friendly neighbours looking out for each other.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very slow response - always trying to avoid undertaking work they are obliged to provide

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Don’t let them turf your garden - you will fight to get them to redo it due to the amount of rubble they leave behind. It took them 2 years to rectify garden issues.

The development is great. It’s the perfect size as it’s only a single phase development. Everyone who lives here is friendly and we all get on. We have had no issues with Keepmoat and all of our snags were sorted quickly and done well. The sales staff we helpful through the buying process.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location of the development is perfect for us. It’s in the middle of where we both work, close to the A1 and has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The development responded to our problems quickly and effectively.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is nothing that I wish we knew before moving in.

Fabulous Fell Community!

The design of our Fell property is amazing, the team designed a modern house, with opportunities for the owners to make their own stamp of uniqueness. Lots of handy cupboard space around the house, in particular in the kitchen area. The bedrooms on the property are all very spacious and opened planned.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The Fell neighbourhood is accessible, lots of handy car parking spaces for owners and guests. Majority of households have their own spacious drive, with the ability to hold 2-3 cars. The bin collections at the Fell are prompt and efficient. The best factor about The Fell is the level of noise and anti-social behaviour, it is a quiet area to live in, with no anti-social factors. Living in the Fell you have a variety of access to public transport and a walking distance from the train station.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They respond politely and friendly, understanding the need for the snags and issues raised to be dealt with appropriately. However the time management skills are poor, snags can be waited on for months and still no communication to the home owners.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

In hindsight, I wish we had known the turf in the garden would not be levelled off. As well as the quality of the turf, finding building site materials, i.e. big rocks, under the turf.

The Fell, shame about the garden

Development is still in progress, but the green space is going to be very small. Not enough on street parking built into the development. Considering electric vehicles are on the increase of availability I am surprised the builder hasn’t installed home charging points.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lovely area close to town centre with a range of shops, restaurants and bars. Very close to woodland walks almost out the back door of the house.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

All internal snags have been rectified and to a good standard. The response time to fixing external issues with the front and rear garden is poor. I am confident however these will be sorted soon.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Love our house, and the quality of the build. Our garden doesn’t quite meet the same standard. Garden is riddled with rubble, and grass incredibly uneven. Don’t let them turf your garden, you will regret it

Perfect area and the house is a really good size would of loved a slightly bigger kitchen as there not much cupboard space but we are very happy with our home.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How close they are building houses out the back of our home!

Please share one thing (or more) which you would change about your development:

The bathroom as the bath is very small and more cupboards space in the kitchen.
