Property management is bad

Design is great. They were really good at first for fixing things but we still have issues that have not been dealt with and raised to management. It seems like you are more of a problem when something gets brought up to them. Also the roads are horrendous. Pot holes still everywhere.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Penwortham and town are very close so there is great shops and gyms and restaurants close by. Parking is great. No traffic noises

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Brilliant at first but horrendous after that. Very condescending and spoke down to us several times.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Great moving in and helping us store things in the garage. Be very aware of your gas and electric as we was with Scottish power who we had nothing but problems with.

Dream house falling short

Liam D (Owner)

The quality of the build has a lot to be desired. 85% of the double glazing had to be replaced due to incorrect sizing issues. The quality of the finish throughout the house is poor. Customer care have needed to repair +50 snags, leaks and floods.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Close to many open spaces within a minute’s walking distance. Local family bar is 10 minutes walk.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, but repairs fall short due to poor contractors

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Throughly inspect and question the finish

Once finished will be a nice development

Once finished will be a nice development, although we haven’t had any further updates on how long the building process will take, initially they said 4 hours until completion. They try to keep the roads as clean as possible with all the mud from jcb

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Several amenities nearby all within 1-2 miles, gyms ,shops, gp surgery . Nearest shop is a ten minute walk. Is anti social behaviour in local village centre with notorious youth gangs.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yeah, bit lacking in professionalism from the painter who never came back to finish job

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the brickwork would look like the show home

The development is fantastic

K (Owner)

The development is fantastic. The staff have all been wonderful and very helpful. The site manager has been fast and proactive when dealing with any issues and has made the process smooth. The only thing I can say about the design that could be improved is the fact that grass breaks up the footpaths which makes it difficult with a pram (having to cross over and back again)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great schools in the local area. Easy access to the motorway. Nice wide street so no cars block the way through.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have been amazed bf from The very first day and have dealt with any issue.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known how fast they deal with issues as this would have eased any anxieties about a new build.

Our forever home

Amy (Owner)

We love the design of our home and the development looks lovely as it is coming along. The site manager has been great at sorting out our snags and so have the customer care team following on from that. In my opinion I’d of used a water based satin rather than gloss on the woodwork due to yellowing that has appeared but this is personal preference.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Pro’s -great location, close to many links for in and around Preston with motorway links to various surrounding areas. Local parks and green spaces within 10 minutes walk. Plenty of close by shopping and socialising venues. In our experience on our street the neighbour’s are lovely, everyone is friendly and many have parking availability on the drives. No issues with bin collections. Cons- As with all new developments there is on going works so slight noise due to that, initially lots of dust when the works were close by. Unfinished road.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management respond very quickly. We’ve had no ongoing issues, everything is always dealt with in a timely manner.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Get a professional snagger, there is a lot of small things you miss in your excitement!!
