Lovely estate.

The overall designing the Estate is lovely. It’s one of the things that attracted us to the area. There is plenty of parking, lots of green areas for children to play. The houses are spaced out nicely. The only bad point is the pond at the bottom of the Estate could have been better. It looks like the developers have up on it.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Overall a lovely area to live in especially for a first home. The Estate has lots of Green areas and the roads / common areas look well maintained. I drive everywhere but there is a supermarket, shops and pubs within walking distance. Easy access to the M4 even during rush hour.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes they eventually responded to all of our snags.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had know the pond wasn’t going to be finished properly. It looked better on the model.

Overall pretty good

I really like the design of the estate, we've had some snags that have taken longer to complete than we'd like but some of that was because of lockdown; overall pretty good. Wish they had given the estate a small playground like most other newbuild estates.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The estate itself is well designed, with plenty of open spaces, green areas and good parking (+visitor parking), it doesn't feel as crammed as other newbuild areas. However, Wates did nkt finish things properly, the pond area that was meant to be a highlight in the estate looks unfinished and sadly now just makes everything look worse. There are some problems with teenagers from neighbouring areas (mainly Trowbridge) although we have only heard this through the estate's Facebook group but never experienced any such issues ourselves. The local area has plenty of shops and green areas but lacks safe or well maintained playgrounds for younger children. The estate is very near a Hyb though which is a huge plus.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

There have been a couple of changes in who the building manager is but the management assistant Lisa has been fantastic throughout and has made a lot of effort to help us with any queries or problems.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That Wates was opening the estate at the back to Trowbridge (bad decision) and that they didn't properly finish the pond area was hugely disappointing.

A nice location and a relatively peaceful place to live

The design of the estate is quite good, as there are some nice green areas which are quite big for the estate size, it means you don't feel like you are all squashed together. The building management/upkeep of the estate seems generally OK with the grass etc being cut regularly and the roads seem generally well maintained.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area surrounding the development is quite nice. Pubs, local shops and a bigger superstore all within walking distance. Lots of visitors parking and minimal through traffic on the estate.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The response from the developer has been poor with them still not rectifying issues that were present on our move in date two years ago. It's a miracle if we get a reply usually.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish we had known how lacklustre the after sales service would be. If we knew this, we probably wouldn't have purchased.
