Very happy resident

I’m in a two bedroom flat - myself and my daughter and have no problems. My flat is a very good size for the two of us with balcony space as well. There was a water pressure issue that was sorted overnight so wasn’t left waiting for ages. Only been here a short while but so far no issues.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

15 minute walk from highstreet and bus routes into Hemel and Watford which I particularly use. Very quite no noise issues at all.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I was told the codes to the block of flats.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of my home is my living room and kitchen being open planned.

A very good flat

I think the building is five star quality. It has central heating and double glazing, it has an EPC rating B. The flat is very spacious, it has loads of storage space, a bath and a shower. There is a communial garden and allocated parking spaces which I like. I also like the post box, I think that makes the property more secure. The maintenance service was also five star, they repaired everything I asked them to and it didn't take too long. The only downsides are is it is quite expensive for rent.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It has been difficult getting to local shops from Roman Park as I don't drive and the nearest quality convenience store is Co op which takes me 40 minutes to walk there and back, so I will be very happy when the Lidl opens. I am also out of the catchment area of all the local primary schools. Tring doesn't have anything for people on low income like Wetherspoons or Greggs.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There really arent that many faults. The outer front door by the road doesnt work with my key. There aren't enough plug sockets in the kitchen and living room, especially behind the sofa. I wish the fan in the bathroom and kitchen was separate, so it doesn't extract all my heating.

What is the best feature of your home:

The allocated parking space is very good, I like this as it keeps my car insurance low

Great location and lovely development

The design is lovely and not repetitive, which has given it great character. Space has also been well considered and adequate parking given to the properties. They have landscaped the areas really well and considered the public spaces too. Roads are a mix of tarmac and block paving which adds more character.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It is a really great location and walking distance of the town. It is also easy accessed to the A41 that takes you to the M1 and M25 so for commuting it is ideal. The only negative of this is sometimes the noise can carry from the A41,

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the end of the estate may become a Lidl, we had been told business related.

What is the best feature of your home:

It gave us the open plan space downstairs to make it a warm family home.

Lovely Cala development at Tring

The Cala homes are well designed and a joy to own. Good sized rooms and nice finishings. The development is still under way so facilities are still to come, possibly a shop, a BMX track and plus grounds. The management company has yet to be established, it’s still Cala at this point in time

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

This is a quiet development at the edge of Tring. There is a local bus stop and it’s a 20 minute walk to the town centre. Good local schools, great access to the Chilterns, lots of local parks with play equipment. Tring is a friendly market town with a local cinema and theatre, a range of independent shops, nice cafes. The Tring Zoological Museum is pretty famous too!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Knowing I didn’t need to be forced into signing off my snagging list

What is the best feature of your home:

Views from the house towards Wendover Woods from the landing upstairs where there is a large window.

Pleased with house, poor customer service and fobbing off

Lots of noise from building. Lots of high voices, music and little consideration of surroundings. 9 months in and snagging still not fully resolved and debating upon solutions and remediation activities. Communication lacking in the required level of detail or response to questions.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local supermarket development very under hand. Impact on traffic will be huge. Not bothered about the development per se but has no consideration of residents impact on getting out of the estate.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Supermarket development was not communicated to buyers. Has no consideration on residents ability to get in or out of the estate in a timely manner.

What is the best feature of your home:

Space, open plan kitchen area, windows increasing natural light.
