i really like the layout and design of the development. i like how it has underground parking as this is very useful and saves space on the road. parks are great for families with children. great location of the development with close proximity to city center.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

brilliant being close to city centre and to mill road, bad aspects is cars on yellow lines on the development as it creates alot of blockages on the road

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

i would change the parking around the development, there is yellow lines but no action taken when vehicles parked on them

What is the best feature of your home:

the design and layout of the property is really nice and spacious/modern

Minimal effort approach by the builder and the management company. Buildings are already damp as the water leaks in and it has not been fixed. Finish of the apartments, common areas and the outdoor is definitely on the cheap side. Some silly public art scattered arou d the development.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Quiet but central area, just off the vibrant Mill road. Plenty of dining options, selection of pubs, cafes and local shops.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, always takes forever to fix things as being pushed from developer to the management company and back. It's yet and a half now and some of the things are still not fixed. As usual minimal effort to things they do address.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I whish i knew the build and finish quality used by the developer.

Thoughtful property design and good customer service

I like the fact that the heat exchange ventilation system/humidity control system and underfloor heating were installed in my property. There is central hot water supply so no boiler is needed within the property, offering more storage space indoors. They no longer offer high quality German kitchen appliances and I had to upgrade the hob and dishwasher myself. The underground paid car park is also open for public which raise security issue and the lack of cctv in the development is a major concern

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great location, excellent views of the city center from penthouse. Underground car park. Once weekly bin collection. Good soundproof from the top floor and it’s rather quiet despite its proximity to the railway. There are a few council housing blocks nearby and non residents may sometimes wander around the residential area.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes from window scratch to mustic repair. However the management company could have done better job in cleaning the external window and the car park

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The quality and standard of the management company

Great area, spacious living space.

The design of the flats is good outside, with various building being a different design so it has character. Inside our two bedroom apartment it is very spacious and lots of light in the kitchen/living room area. The bedrooms do not get so much light with just one small window in each which is a shame. Building management I have not had much experience with but when first moving in, arranging utilities proved to be quite difficult. Cleaning in communal areas is great and regular, but some of the other tenants don’t respect the cleanliness and leave bins outside the communal bin room unfortunately.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is amazing, situated between the cosmopolitan Mill Road to one side, and walking access to Grafton and Beehive Centre on the other side. It is also exceptionally quiet. The space is open and doesn’t feel “blocked in”. The bin collection frequency is ok but we would really benefit from green bins for food & garden waste as well as the standard black & blue bins for the flats.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Fairly quickly - although it is a bit of a proceed and not sure whether the Cambridge city council or building management is responsible for certain things

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

More information on the parking for disability blue badge would be useful

Eagle Street - The development itself is pretty impressive

The development itself is pretty impressive with just a few design flaws that let it down. As my particular flat backs on to the train lines I think the windows should have been triple glazed to reduce noise from trains. Also, with the type of windows provided, there is no way to clean the outside of windows and I imagine they will end up filthy. Mine already had bird droppings from last year which can't be shifted and ruins the views. The other problem is that the lovely big windows create a green house effect and the rooms become stifling hot in even mild weather. Fans and open doors do little too cool the property down so perhaps an air cooling unit could have been installed alongside the air flow unit. Building/property management is a bit hit and miss as it's often unclear to either council or the management company who is in charge of anything that goes wrong. It took around 7 weeks to fix a lift, which is not ideal when on 3rd floor. There's currently no access for those in the council building to use the bike storage unit.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Overall a great living space in a great location with access to a fantastic variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. Lovely own space with thoughts into young families. Parking options could be better.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Often when reporting issues to the council, you get passed from moillar to post as no one knows or wants to take responsibility for issues that arise.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How hot the flats get. No way to clean outside windows
