Nice development with good links to Exeter

The site is well designed and laid out. The roads are plenty wide enough to allow visitors to park on the road without blocking it. They are still in the process of finishing the green spaces but so far they're looking good, will be lovely in the summer. The green areas were lacking in maintenance for a while but that seems to have been resolved now and grass is kept tidy.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lots of open spaces around and being on the edge of the town you're right next to the countryside where there are plenty of walks to take. Transport links are great, just a 15/20 minute drive into Exeter and there is a train station in Honiton. The streets are quiet, no issues with antisocial behaviour, you can hear the train but we quickly began to not even notice it anymore.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Check the distance of nearby houses and be wary of being overlooked.

What is the best feature of your home:

The master bedroom and en suite is incredibly spacious. Would be very lucky to find a room like that on another new build development. Also, we have a very decent sized garage which again would be hard to find elsewhere.

Plenty of green spaces

Well designed site variety of properties from flats ,townhouses and detached built also with different materials and finishes making your house more individual. Plenty of green spaces with wide pavements and plenty of parking with your property . We have been well looked after with any problems when we first moved in dealt with efficiently with the staff friendly and professional and even after 2 years dealt with . The grounds after a few hiccups are well kept and look forward to the finished result with the on going construction not causing us any disruption.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We retired to this development and it’s the best thing we could have done . On the outskirts of Honiton but close to the town where there is a good selection of shops , restaurants and coffee shops and banks . Nearer home we have a farm shop , garden shop and Homebase vital for your new home for all your gardening and decorating needs ,these are all within walking distant and a local pub and even a chip van on Saturday nights . We have an excellent bus service which links to the doctors and hospital and connects with the railway station and from the estate can take you to Exeter and surrounding areas . A lot of the properties have garages with driveways for 2 cars a must for most and we are only a short distant from the A30 . Lots of green areas have been created with fruit trees and a play area is at this moment being created for the children to a very high standard . There is a home to suit everyone on this site and we are so pleased we went for a new build here .

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How good the transport link is and where to walk your dog

What is the best feature of your home:

The large open plan kitchen perfect for family get togethers and visitors and of course cooking .

The development is coming along nicely?

Stephen (Owner)

The development is coming along nicely. There are things still to come, which is exciting, including the finished roads, a park (now well underway) and allotments. It is well maintained by regular landscapers and the houses are of a pleasant design throughout.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Honiton is a lovely town to live in. You've got a choice of bars/restaurants and 3 main supermarkets as well as a selection of local business including a sweet shop and a wine shop. The train line goes to Exeter and London. Hayne Farm is well placed as there are bus stops just nearby. Parking isn't an issue as most houses have driveways and we don't get any issues with antisocial behaviour.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It would be good to know in advance the kind of timeline of the development as a whole including the parks and allotments. But that isn't a barrier to buying.

What is the best feature of your home:

It sounds simple but our favourite feature is the beautiful tiling in the bathroom. The dual heating system is also great, being able to have different temperatures and the house is really energy efficient.

Lovey family friendly community

I think it's an amazing lovely quiet friendly community I havnt really had any issues apart from one and it was sorted in good time the guy that came was very nice helpful and friendly There is lots of open spaces nice plants and trees and the houses are not all squashed in so your not all over looking everyone I'm not sure if there will be one built but be nice if there was a play park I am in a flat. And I think more needs to be done with sound insulation I expected to hear the other flats but I don't expect to be able to hear them talking and babys crying as if there in the same room Or in my flat that is my only thing and the windows seem a little thin I wouldn't say they were double glazing even tho they look like it. And I have bay windows and when I rains the noise I unbearable it sounds like rocks falling on a tin roof it either needs more guttering or the material used for the roof needs changing But it other then that I'm loving living here

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Been here a just over a year I would say it's very quiet and friendly and grass areas and things are always kept tidy. Local farms shops in walking distance as well as the oter in restaurant Close access to main roads to a30 supermarkets are all within walking distance. Everyone is very friendly and haven't had any issues with anyone

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How there is no sound proofing in the flats You can hear absolutely everything Talking laughing shouting baby's crying toilet flushing loud It's as if there in the same room

What is the best feature of your home:

I would say the rpom sizes are great plenty of storage and lots of light from the big windows
