Good but a few small issues.

The building is nice, fairly clean and easy to navigate inside. The design is a bit plain inside but ok, and the building itself is not very well marked from the outside, the sign is quite small. The lifts work most of the time but the parking barrier in the carpark has been broken more than it works.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are lots of amenities within a 5m walk. Grocery stores, butchers and plenty of restaurants in the area. Bus links are good and very close, and the nearest tube station is a 5-8m walk away.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I'd known there was planning permission on progress to build a hotel next door.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature is the high ceilings. The place seems much more spacious than other new build apartments that I saw before purchasing a property.

The development is ok. The design is quite plain and the white walls can sometimes get dirty. Security sometimes isn’t up to standard as parcels go missing but the building is kept clean and bins empties regularly. The maintenance can be a bit slow and lifts can sometimes be broken for a few days. The car park barrier is always broken.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are lots of restaurants and pubs in the local area as well as grocery stores, pharmacies and butchers.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish I’d known there was about to be a hotel or other high rise building next door.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature is the spacious rooms which make the place feel larger than most new build apartments.

Not bad overall

Natasha (Shared Owner)

The building is clean and feels safe. Parcels can get left in lobby which is annoying and perhaps not ideal. The stairs aren’t painted beyond the second floor and there is a lack of signage throughout the development You do feel secluded as a shared owner as the private owners are in one end of the building and the shared owners and council tenants are shoved together.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good location lots of shops, right next to high street and not far from train station

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Issues including snags in the apartment were dealt with by the sales team swiftly, I had a great experience.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is no internet on my floor as openreach didn’t finish connecting the building ! They are fixing this. I would also advise to check if they are planning to build anything that will obstruct your view. There are a few new developments underway.

Safety and security concerns

I am very surprised how they got an access when everything is controlled by a fob. Completely a lack of concerns and failure of property management team to protect their customers. Our family and neighbours are very dishearten as we are now fear of our security and safety. It was our big mistake that, we brought a property here at Harrow One (Hill and Origin Housing collaboration). I would not able anyone as it’s not a safe place to stay.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

What a distressing situation - few outside guys smoking Marjuana on the stairwell.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Lack of concerns showed by the management team at Hill

Unprofessional developer - Never trust them

May 2021

I purchased a property from Hill (Harrow One) with paid £25,000 for parking. When I asked to see the parking space before signing the contract, I was not allowed to see the space and was given excuses. When I actually saw the space, it was tiny and was not able to fit my car. When contacted developer I got a response after one month saying that nothing can be done. This is unprofessional and ridiculous response I have ever received from a developer. They claim, they are one of the best in the class but they are just unhelpful. I will take this further with a solicitor and will official file a case.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Tiny parking spaces which you cant even fit the car.
