The different designs of homes gives a feel of a village rather than a housing estate

The different designs of homes gives a feel of a village rather than a housing estate full of the same homes. The on-site team of Scott the site manager and Amber the sales manager could not be more helpful professional and accommodating And a credit to the company.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are no shops or amenities yet my street is in early development but the street scene is really attractive with very little traffic noise

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I should have asked when the building work would be completed around me so I would have been more prepared for all the construction traffic parking outside my house

What is the best feature of your home:

The Quality of build is excellent. The efficiency of the heating system the room sizes for a semi detached home and total standard of the build

The design is a great spacious layout , lots of space between house and lots of privacy between properties, a lovely open space with a pond with ducks in! Lovely clean estate with plenty of walking spaces , every home has a unique look to it which is nice

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very quiet and lots of open green space , no traffic noise and other occupants are always friendly. There’s plenty of driveways space for vehicles and ample visitors bays throughout the estate. Nice place to live

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very good communication it is emails only but they response fairly quick

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish they told me about upgrades I could have had .

Beautiful homes….

They are really nice houses. The estate is beautiful. Great roads and green spaces. Lots of places to walk the dog.Great neighbourhood community. Nice and spacious. Close to motorway. I would recommend you get a professional snag specialist though. As Davidson’s will come out and fix issues promptly but you will only have a specific time scale to do this. So you don’t want to miss anything.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I’ve Been living here for three years. I love my home but the poor quality of materials are starting to show on some things. My only advice would to be not to buy extras like we did, as you pay the same as you would for professionals but you don’t get the guarantee. We’ve had to replace so much already. They say the doctors surgery is expanding with their financial contributions but after 3 years I have struggled to get an appointment. A lot of work still needs to happen in regards to infrastructure. But as far as houses go they are definitely the best looking.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Initially great, very fast at sending a handyman round. We had Richard and he was amazing and so friendly. After about 2 years I believe unless it’s to do with the actual building you’re on your own.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wished we hadn’t bought our kitchen from their “specialist range” quality is quite poor

We have a well signed spacious property with a large garden and drive way. We live opposite nice views and plenty of paths to talk a walk. Building management is good and the customer service team who come to do any snagging are fab too! We love it here.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lovely quiet area , ample parking and nice green views. Still very new so not much around us yet like a park but you can easily walk to the local one.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

First 6 months they were amazing and came out to rectify any issues

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That they had visitor parking bays located around the estate

Grange View is a stylish estate with timeless design and the promise of new facilities soon

Davidson’s build desirable high end estates with attractive new builds far from the orange boxes people typically associate with new properties. Ultimately they’re a timeless, classy style. The roads and pavements could be a little wider but this is not a huge issue. The houses are general high quality with minimal snagging after occupancy. Though it did take them a while to figure out the best site management approach for Grange View.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Overall a good area with excellent access to the M1. As a newly developed section of Hugglescote, there are yet to be any useful facilities around the development, however the wider plan promises new shops and a couple of new schools, along with a potential new train station in the long term. Can’t really get anywhere without a car. No issues with traffic or anti social behaviour and all properties have plenty of parking. The development contains a few social houses but this hasn’t been a problem yet.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Due to the pandemic, our total snagging time has taken over 2 years to fully carry out. As we moved in very early in development, their snagging system was messy and not working out. Items weren’t being seen to or completed satisfactorily. They’ve since revamped their snagging system and now have a dedicated team and process. It can take a while for them to attend the property but ultimately the work gets done. This is managed by head office rather than the site team which works well.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We had problems with Severn Trent charging for surface water charges that do not apply due to the pond at the bottom of the estate, where all surface water drains. We had to fight to have these charges refunded. Don’t pay the developer for flooring, and generally any extras. It’s always cheaper to contract this yourself and the developer won’t always put as much care into fitting these as someone external.
