Terrible company to buy a house from, they build low quality homes, cutting corners wherever possible at the expense of the house buyer. We had to have our garden redone 3 times because the gardens are all clay and flood. They don’t get jobs done and every house still had problems that need resolving, but now that all the houses have sold they do not care about the development at all. There is a ‘park area’ at the back of the development that has been left to grow high with weeds and it looks terrible. House designs aren’t the worst but the company itself are just terrible, change staff all the time, lie and will never believe the home owner.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There isn’t really anything to do in the local area. Very drab and depressing.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They don’t. They will do whatever they can to not actually solve any issues and at times just call you a liar about issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Everything I know about davidsons now so I could avoid at all costs.

Generally very good, but occasionally inconsistent

The design of the development and houses are so good. They are much more thought through than the other developments we viewed. The house is well built and we haven’t had many snags! The building management at the beginning was absolutely brilliant. The site looked after us so well, unfortunately in recent months it hasn’t been so great and we have had a few incidents. But I am hoping that davidsons will learn from this. It seems dependent on personnel, some personnel are fantastic (Linda, Alison, Jason) and others just don’t care (I won’t name).

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is great! The local shopping area is great, with the Med centre and aldi at the bottom of the street. So far, the parking is great, the neighbours are lovely and we are so happy!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

It’s generally pretty good, but it can be hit and miss. Personnel changes impact it massively!

Building design was very good, but did have some issues with layout but developer arranged solutions to this. Site managers have been very helpful in the initial stage of moving in, but has been difficult to get issues sorted after the first couple of month, due to more people and dealing with the customer service teams.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Location is very, not to far from rushden lakes which has a range of shops and dinning places. Links to roads very good, just off the a6 and a45. Visited parking around site is poor, limited spaces available. Shared drives can also be an issue with parking

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Initially we’re good with dealing with issues. However after a few months it has been difficult to arrange issues to be fixed. We are still awaiting a couple of issues to be fixed after 8 months in the property.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Be careful when buying a house with shared drive ways, particularly on new developments.

A mixed bag

Snag management experience so far has been mixed. Some were sorted immediately but plenty more remain outstanding without much clear insight into who is responsible for what. Site manager excellent, head office don’t seem to answer emails.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Fantastic location. Great road links, easy access to Rushden Lakes, plenty in town for daily needs.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Slowly is about all I can say! Site manager good but focus is on new builds. Post occupation seem to just ignore emails so no idea what’s happening with all my snags.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Try to visit the house ahead of time and find any outstanding issues then as they are much keener to sort before they have your money.

Nicely arranged estate, not over crowded or overlooked by others. Lots of green space, modern looking homes, friendly neighborhood. The building work for the other houses further into the estate has not caused any inconvenience, which has been nice

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very good, local superstore in close proximity

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Still on going but have been slowly working through the small snags we have had

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Checking the house ahead of moving to highlight the snags to minimise visits after being moved in
