A great place to live but tweaks required.

The general design of the development is good and there is now a small park for children to play in. It would be better if roads were adopted more quickly as there are ramps at the side of the road for the driveways which although needed get in the way when navigating the road. Roads are muddy and could be kept cleaner and the contractors/ tradespeople drive too fast around the development.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It's a lovely quiet area to live in. Shops that are within walking distance are limited at the moment although hopefully this will improve with time. There is a small Sainsbury's and large Tesco's within 5 - 10 minutes drive. There are also some fantastic restaurants in the area which are a short drive away and walks in the countryside are virtually on the doorstep. Parking availability is usually okay, some households do not make full use of their driveway which sometimes causes unnecessary parking issues. Bin collections have always been fine and I haven't witnessed any anti-social behaviour.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We already knew the area well so there wasn't any surprises, good or bad in that respect. However our moving in day could have been a lot smoother! Apparently you need any appointment to collect your key from the sales team (I wasn't informed of this) which resulted in having the unload our first van load into the garage and garden as weren't allowed access to our house. Fortunately it wasn't raining!

What is the best feature of your home:

Good kerb appeal. Brilliant internal design, layout with well proportioned rooms.

Not too Bad but not Amazing

Property management of the estate is okay. Design is average as it's still pretty much a building site. Building management have been okay when we have had snags in all fairness to them. My thoughts on such aspects as design, facilities, building management and property management have been okay.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very limited local shops, restaurants, bars & open spaces. Still pretty much a building site around the estate. A local shop would be good.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the snagging process would be so tricky and the front door entrance gets extremely cold.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of my home is how easy it is to warm in the winter.

The design is average but typical of most modern house builders, quite basic designs, the location was the main draw overall. Paying the maintenance fee is not great and not immediately clear what the benefits are from this. Access is good but a lot of building work constantly nearby is not ideal.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Location is very good, semi-rural location on the edge of a town with lots of local amenities and great transport links with A14 and A6. Little to no traffic noise, bin collection is regular and reliable.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Check snagging - there can be many mistakes as done by contractors.

What is the best feature of your home:

The garden as we picked the plot on the street is large and meets our needs

Good location, friendly neighbours, poor finishing touches

Good location with school, supermarkets and petrol station nearby. Friendly and welcoming estate / neighbours. Playground on estate, but of poor quality. Lack of waste / dog bins. Road unfinished causing damage to cars. Lack of up keep of estate (expensive for entire estate).

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good location Close to supermarkets, retail parks and petrol stations Poor facilities, no/minimal waste/dog bins, roads unfinished

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Even though we had minimal problems, I have understood that other neighbours had some minor / major problems. Therefore, I would seek advice from a professional snagger.

What is the best feature of your home:

Large garden with potential. Able to put a stamp on each room as blank canvas.

The design of our house is lovely and provides a lot of upstairs space. The garden is a great size for a new build property. Management company is good and it’s nice to see that the area is already regularly maintained by gardeners. Bins in the park could be emptied more often.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We live on a lovely street and there isn’t much traffic noise. Double drives are great and parking in the area is ok.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

When local facilities like a corner shop would be built.

What is the best feature of your home:

Master bedroom size and the garden size. Perfect for a small family.
