Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very nice area, easy access to local shops and pubs. Our street is lovely, even though there is still a lot of building works going on there is minimal disruption and the roads are regularly cleaned by the builders. Parking is easy and bin collections although non existent when we first moved in are now consistent

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We had an issue with the front door sticking when we moved in but a maintenance guy came and spent a morning fixing it. We're still waiting for our remote lock access to work though but hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish the lease finalisation had been a bit smoother, we didn't receive the final documentation until 11pm the day before picking up the keys which made for a very stressful evening but we put it down to being the first to move in.

Great parking and it is very peaceful! Fantastic facilities on your doorstep and improving everyday.

Chesterwell is in a great area! It’s a calm and quiet location, but very close to everything you need. The street is pretty and peaceful.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any problems or issues we have had were dealt with immediately.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The houses are very well built and noise does not travel through the house like other new builds. The ongoing building work is not disruptive at all, Does not cause dust a Does not cause dust a mess inside the house and is quite considerate. Even with partnerships with Sky, you are Only able to get sky stream.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Easy walking access to the local Co-op and a range of shops and supermarkets within a short 10 minute drive. It’s a 7 minute car journey to Colchester station for commuting. Quiet area, including our street - but we are very happy with the low traffic noise. Consistent bin collections are now in place as there were initial teething problems. These have all been resolved. We also have street signs that make finding our location less troublesome for deliveries and Royal Mail. Lovely walks with our dog in the local recreation area nearby are a bonus.

It’s really easy to log any issues online. These have been resolved in a timely manner.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

No early bus service to station - but then we did move from London - so perhaps we should have looked into this more carefully.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

This area is perfect! I moved from London, where I am originally from, and this area (and house) is a breath of fresh air. It's so peaceful and quiet, the air and streets are well-manicured and kept clean, everyone, even the site contractors and construction team, are friendly and are super helpful--going out of their way to assist--and it is a very scenic spot. I keep getting compliments from visitors who come to my house whenever they see my house and the local area. Everything is easy access. There's a Co-op which is 5 min walk away, an NHS doctor's surgery 10 mins down the road, and one straight road that takes you directly to the station going straight into London (45-min train ride) and the town centre as well. Bus stop is right around the corner from the development. Being from London, where I'm used to more frequent bus services, my only problem is that the buses only come around twice an hour.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management respond very quickly, within a few days at most. Their sub-contractors are very helpful and courteous with the property.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I had no idea what this house actually looked like until I moved in, due to me missing my viewing appointment because I was lost in the area. Thankfully, I still got the place with a video viewing, but it would have been helpful to have more clear signage, as it gets extremely confusing for visitors and delivery drivers to find the property, as it is a new build.
