As stated above the customer service for this company is absolutely shocking. I had roof tiles come up. The gardens are all awful and need replacing. Nothing is level. Even the walls in your houses are not level. The aftersales team are shambolic to say the least

Customer service is absolute shocking. Not replying to emails - inability to fix issues. Deleting emails

The customer after care service. I wish I knew how poorly they dealt with snags

The doorway to leave the home so I can drive out of the estate

The development is large but spread out. Different styles and designs of properties. The design of my property is great. I think my property would benefit from bigger windows. I have good facilities although not enough storage space built into the house, slim cupboard downstairs and we one small cupboard above the stairs. The garden is large although not level and the patio layout is poor and not well designed. My kitchen is of poor taste. Property management needed more attention before signing off and work not up to standard.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Excellent location in great town. Loads of amenities and close to Dartmoor. The street I live on is small, quiet and no traffic passing through. Parking is ok, 2 spaces provided unfortunately not by the house and no visitors area. No street lights- extremely dark and vulnerable street.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parking is not outside house when it could have been planned better. Rent went up quite abit in first year.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of my new home is the downstairs living area.

As for the development itself the homes are well built the external finish to these houses and very hard wearing and withstand the harsh weather perfectly, as for the gardens they are not so great as they soon become a mud pit , I think a bit more care is needed in this area , overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The development it self is set in a lovely area , it is a 10 minute walk to the local school and shops so is an ideal shop for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids , the parking is absolutely brilliant plenty of space. As for the bad points I all I can really say is there is a lot of traffic congestion.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The only thing I am disappointed in was the quality of the garden, the turf became mud very quickly.

What is the best feature of your home:

For me the best feature of our home is the parking and the internal design of the property.

Since first enquiring about the Broadleigh Park development, to exchanging on my property and moving in to my new home I have been impressed with Cavanna. The quality of the build is very good, well thought out layout and additional features which other home builders do not always include as standard - for example the outside tap and outside electric socket. The inevitable minor snags that have occurred since moving in have been dealt with promptly and efficiently by Cavanna. In regards to the estate management fees, I’m not entirely sure what these funds are spent on but there does appear to be a gardener who tidied up all the shared green areas every couple of weeks. If I was looking to purchase a new build again in the future Cavanna would definitely be my first choice.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Tavistock is a lovely market town and the Cavanna development is located within a 15 minute walk of the town centre. There is a good range of shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a well maintained park in the town. The Cavanna development is configured relatively well for parking, with all properties having their own parking spaces. However, homes with multiple vehicles and visitors means cars are parked on the kerb most of the time. Traffic noise is minimal. My only complaint is that the roads within phase 1 of the development have still not been completed, even though phase 1 finished many months ago.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

As I was able to chose the kitchen/bathroom/flooring I would advise others not to make any decisions immediately but to take time to review all the options available. I thought I knew exactly what I wanted to chose but then did a complete U-turn on my choices.

What is the best feature of your home:

Great quality build with good fixtures and fittings which has meant I haven’t had to do any DIY or decorating. Cavanna have provided me with a fantastic quality easily maintainable home.

Feeling rural but in the town!

Broadleigh Park is 1 of 3 new developments currently being built in Tavistock but is definitely the most attractive in terms of design, quality and location. The estate is well laid out and feels spacious and takes advantage of being on the edge of the town, when walking the estate you know you are part surrounded by fields and on the edge of the countryside.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Tavistock is a great area with an array of independent shops and a thriving market. It has all the facilities a family needs including lovely open space, a river, a canal, great parks and all the essential amenities. The town has low crime and is lovely and peaceful. The Cavanna development has a growing sense of community and is respected and treated well by those living there.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That you meed to treat leather jackets in the Autumn to prevent lawn damage in the spring!

What is the best feature of your home:

A lovely open plan kitchen diner leading to a good sized garden!
