Situated very convenient to local amenities/ pubs / walk’s . Site is ongoing so have no knowledge about management company but public gardens have been kept in good order throughout. General design of development seems very nice and not the typical cram them in . A park is situated in the centre of the development.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Close to nice walks and village green.schools are good standard and walking distance decent shops and coffee shop nice Indian restaurants. We’re on a small walk so don’t have many issues with parking but have had issues from social housing smoking cannabis a untaxed and motd cars . Design of houses are good but getting remidial work sorted it a nightmare to say the least and tradesmen are not what they were! Do not move in until all snagging is completed and you have had a snagging company come and advise 16 months on and still battling to get stuff finished!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Always use a snagging company before you move in and refuse to complete until all works are completed, as getting anything sorted retrospectively is almost impossible, we did it after and still on the corporate merry go round! Go straight to the top people don’t bother with site agent they will try to hide their mistake’s and use delay tactics .

What is the best feature of your home:

Beautiful outlook onto wooded area / open plan kitchen dining room with decent sized enclosed rear garden

The development is to a good standard and we do not regret moving here, but not without its issues. The houses behind us are a little closer than we expected and we were misadvised in relation to the location of the shared ownership houses, which are directly behind us. The pre sales service was excellent and Julie in particular was very helpful and always available to answer any questions and to assist us. However the after sales service (customer care) has been very poor with them being very slow in addressing the snagging issues. If we did not chase nothing would be done and the organisation and coordination of the snagging works is poor. We found that the site managers when they were responsible for addressing the snagging tried to pull the wool over our eyes and give us excuses in the hope we would not pursue certain snagging issues. We always expected some snagging but they need to improve their service in addressing any issues.

We love living in wombourne we are a short walk and drive away from local convenience stores, coffee shop and restaurants. We love living on our street our neighbours are lovely. Some people have moved in behind and they have had a few gatherings and they have disturbed our daughters sleep but other than that we love living in the area.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If we had known about using a snagging company before we moved in we would have got them in as soon as we moved in like one of our neighbours did and they have seemed to have had their snagging issues addressed sooner, as the snagging issues found initially are dealt with by the site and not customer care.

What is the best feature of your home:

We love our kitchen/diner and the house seems bigger than our old 4 bed detached house even though this house is only 3 bed.

Before you buy Bovis, think again and knock on a residents door

95% of all my neighbours have had endless issues with their homes and have completely had a new and are ready to take legal action and report their experience to the press. The playground is a great idea however you have children coming from afar to use the facilities and sometimes you can have in excess of 40 screaming children on their which can be extremely loud for family’s that live opposite, especially with new borns or pets.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area and location is what attracted us to purchase a home on this development. You hear the nightmare stories about new build properties and especially the bad press with Bovis however over recent years they had become a “5 star” builder, I do not know how. From the first sales interaction through to exchange of contracts it’s all nicely presented and you receive the full red carpet. But once you have signed on the dotted line it all changes. You then experience delay after delay, push back after push back and when you finally get your keys to your dream home, the problems have just begun. Very quickly you will start to see the problems wrong with your home. We paid for a snagging company to carry out an inspection on the property as soon as we moved in and that’s when the horrors became apparent. We had over 350 issues ranging from minor to major, all of which we have had to wait over a year for Bovis to Start. We will have had to of endured over a 18 month wait for all of the issues to be completed and the communication from management or anyone of decision making ability is impossible. We would never buy a new bike again and definitely stay away from Bovis at all costs. The NHBC sign off and paperwork is not worth the paper it is written on as we have dozens of issues that were signed off and they should not have been. If you want to know what buying a house from Bovis is really like then knock the door of the residents living on the prospective site, they will open your eyes. Don’t forget Bovis are not the builder, the sub contractors are

I wished we would have spoken to people actually living on the estate and not just get pulled in by the show home fakery, which most features you can’t actually purchase or come with the home.

What is the best feature of your home:

The location and area is the best feature by far. The design is great it’s just the execution that’s the issue and the poor quality of workmanship and lack of pride, I’ve seen more effort made building sand castles

Poor Customer Care after Purchasing

The build/buying process was ok. However, customer service and care after moving in leaves a lot to be desired! 12 months in, and still waiting fir things to be fixed. Customer Service is extremely poor, and trying to get contractors in to carry out repairs is impossible. I'd never buy a Bovis again.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lovely little village that we've been coming to before buying the property. I come from a small village previously, so it's nice to stay in a small community.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Poor customer care. No support. Very hard to get things done once moved in.

What is the best feature of your home:

Having come from 12 years of renting, we now own this property.
