A jolly nice place to live!

The design of the estate is open and attractive with predominantly bungalows. There are no facilities on the estate to speak of, so far, as the estate has not been completed. The buildings are well designed and aesthetically pleasing. Property management consists mainly of grass cutting, so far.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The estate is close to good local shops, health centre, dentist, optician etc… It is close to a recreation field which is adjacent to a community woodland. There’s easy access to road links to a nearby big town. It’s a quiet friendly neighbourhood.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We didn’t know that we would be able to hear the dual carriageway, even though it’s quite a distance away.

What is the best feature of your home:

Wide open corridors, well proportioned rooms, en suites, large garden.

Charlotte was very helpful and knowledgeable

Every thing has been good here from our first visit and meeting the sales negotiator Charlotte who was very helpful and knowledgeable, any problem or questions were dealt with promptly by the site manager and staff, apart from the mud and dusty condition of moving to a building site disruption was minimal, this is our 4th new build property and undoubtedly the best yet for build quality and design. Thanks to all

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It’s pleasant living here all facilities are in the village just a half mile away also a Sainsburys store, living here is good our street is all elderly people like ourselves and it’s a pleasant change this day and age to find so many bungalows being built. And snapped up by elderly people, the demand is good, one snag that needs addressing is pillar boxes, but assuming this is down to the Post Office but all the elderly people drive cars to the post office in the village, could do with 3 on a site this big as it causes congestion in the village and not helping climate change Xmas was hectic with cards

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

My only complaint would be and is the fence on the super stone garden wall put there for privacy from the properties built at the back of us is not fit for purpose I believe it is Hazel or Willow but the wood is already rotted and just snaps. We are waiting for fencing people to call and see. So in hand as they say

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature for us has been the open plan design lounge, dining area and kitchen all South Facing making it warm and comfortable

Don't partially like the open plan lounge /kitchen and front door that you can't lock with a key on the inside Bedrooms could be a bit bigger , Need more parking space outside garage , garage on side of house should be built further back Garden fences aren't brilliant , need to be stronger and better quality

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Need another supermarket , no good pubs in town Need more parking space outside garages , need to build garages further back on the side of houses Garden fences aren't brilliant, need to be stronger and better quality

A lovely development, quiet and peaceful

The house is lovely and warm and spacious, some niggles, the downstairs toilet light switch is in the hallway and therefore constantly left on mistakenly. The upstairs light switch is at top of stairs and another one would have been useful at the end of the hall when going to bed. Customer services are quick to respond to issues they can sort out fairly quickly and the site team are friendly and courteous. However I have huge drainage problems in the garden which have not been addressed. Would have preferred a bit more thought in the garden layout, with adequate side access for refuse bin.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

the local area is well served with good transport links to Barnstaple and surrounding area, even Exeter and London are served by regular buses. Lovely tea shops and twice weekly pannier market. It is a delight not to have to walk around cars parked on pavements as there is plenty of space for residents. Very little traffic noise and no anti social behaviour.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would have liked to know more about the outside area at the back, It was too late once I realised my neighbours garage was in my garden and I had insufficient side access to my garden. This is a bug bear, especially as my neighbour has 2 large side areas which seem to suggest a mistake was made on my property.

What is the best feature of your home:

The room sizes and storage suit me well. The downstairs layout flows well and I love the big bay window in the lounge

We love our house and where it is all the neighbours are very friendly and it's very quiet. Our kitchen could have been better as the longer we have been here things such as the plinths have moved and hinges have broken on cupboards. Our bathroom floor creaks badly too now. The room sizes are great and the communal lawns around the estate are always kept nice.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We have a beautiful view from our house. People are very friendly but there needs to be a bigger supermarket and a decent pub and restaurant. Our area where we live is great although some areas of south molton need a good tidy up there is also a problem with owners not cleaning up after their dogs. The rec and community woodland is great for a walk

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It can get quite windy as we are on a hill wish we had selected a higher standard of kitchen

What is the best feature of your home:

Lovely cul de sac amazing views spacious bungalow very quiet lots of parking
