Scruffy, unfinished and dangerous. The development has suffered from collapsed drains, torn down houses and damaged property. There is no care of pride whatsoever. Such a shame given its proximity to beautiful ancient forest. The development needs demolishing.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Dreadful quality and awful workmanship. Seemingly no skill or standard employed. An enormous amount of rebuilding to be done.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How atrocious L&Q are. Their standards, knowledge, customer care, quality etc is beyond rubbish

What is the best feature of your home:

The driveway, which is the part least likely to fall down

Laurus needs serious help

Charlie B (Owner)

The building designs are flawed. Only when inside do you realise sockets, radiators etc are in the worst places. The materials are economy/budget, so fixtures and fittings are not good. There is no site management. The development is a dangerous mess.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The best aspect is the beautiful forest over the road. Unfortunately, the avalanche of problems and upsets with the shocking companies selling and building the development overshadows everything. They’re awful in every possible way.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

There is no building management in place because the site is no way hear finished after 5 years.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How bad Laurus Homes/Trafford Housing Trust are and how shocking the standards of Lane End are.

The company you buy from are not the company who physically build the houses. The selling company say one thing, the cowboys building the houses do another. Generally the cheapest, worst, unskilled way. There’s no management, there’s no pride, there’s nobody to put trust in

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is the pull. The builders are awful. The quality is bad. Their attitude stinks. They need to get some quality people and spend money instead of cutting massive corners.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We’ve been charged but there’s nothing to manage. There’s no proper roads, drainage is awful and no amenities as plans. Builders have walked off site.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How truly awful the developers are and how ignorant they seem

Still haven't had all the snags sorted

Massive delays when moving in and when we did move in a lot of snags on the property some being major security problems. Still haven't had all the snags sorted despite constantly being in touch with laurus homes to get someone sent over

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Area is great as it's close to the bypass to get into Manchester and close enough to Congleton town. Problems with parking as the drives weren't very thought out and a lot of cars seem to block each other or make it difficult to manoeuvre.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They don't really tend to respond and use the same response if they do get back to you

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The parking situation and how many problems there were going to be on the property

As the buyer you do not feel valued at all. There were nothing bud problems in trying to purchase the house. Their solicitor was uncontactable which led to significant delays. I have been promised things like replacement of turf- never happened.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The standard of the interior is very poor and slap dash. There is no care and attention.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

No and I’ve lived here for almost 2 months! Not good
