We love the design and layout of our property. It has been well thought out. It’s great having a garage and there is lots of space between the houses on the development. Redcliffe have been quick and attentive to repair and replace any issues we had.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

For us it is a great location. Local shop for when we need it. Two pubs. Most importantly lots of countryside to explore.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That we should have had the patio properly done, as you are only provided with a few slabs.

What is the best feature of your home:

Layout, especially the design of the kitchen and exterior of the house.

Stunning, peaceful development of 49 properties in rural Wiltshire

The site has been thoughtfully set out with wide roads with lay-bys for visitors and ample parking for each property. There are 3 grassed areas with planting for all residents to use plus trees along the grass verges. Bin collection is every alternate week for General and recyclable waste. Gas is off mains and is provided for the whole site, by Calor gas from underground storage tanks, so it's just like having mains gas. The site grassed areas and vegetation will be maintained by a resident's committee funded by each property. The site is on the edge of Salisbury Plain and as such participates in the audible experience of the Army exercising. This is infrequent and once you've heard the guns etc once or twice, you hardly notice them again. The countryside and peacefulness most of the time easily outweighs the occasional noise. Overall, this site and builds are excellent, we have lived in Scotland/Midlands/South/East of England over a time period of 40yrs and without hesitation, this is the best build and development we have lived on.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Whistledown is on the edge of the village of Upavon, which provides 2 pubs/restaurants, local shop/post office and church and local village activities. The views from Whistledown are stunning and the local countryside provides wonderful walking opportunities. A short walk (3mins) takes you past the Medical centre to the bus stop for the X5 bus to Swindon (North) or Salisbury(South) and all villages in between. Train (GWR) station 15mins in Pewsey, takes you to London 1 hr and a bit or west to Penzance or Bristol.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish we had known that the garage did not have a personnel door, like the show house garage and every other house we have bought. We were not told this had to be specified. We would have willingly paid for this. Other than that, everything else we were informed of.

What is the best feature of your home:

Large Kitchen/Dining room with patio doors to the garden and views.

Good development with a variety of houses and designs, good landscaping with areas of public open space. Reasonable build quality and finishes. Development still to be completed, this is not anticipated until September 2022.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Beautiful surroundings, easy access to local towns which have all the necessary amenities.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Noise, dirt and parking as build not finished.

What is the best feature of your home:

The property size, it’s location and the fabulous views.
