Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Verwood is a lovely town and the development has been built just on the outside but no more than a short five minute walk into town. There is very little in the town in regards to restaurants but it has everything that you would need with a costa and a Tesco. There are several lovely parks to go for walks in and we are very near to Moors Valley. Where we live there is no issue with parking and it’s a lovely quiet area with the forest only a short five minute walk behind us

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I emailed the developers separately about this issue as I do feel like the after-care has lacked when we compare it to the first time we bought a home. Covid was used as a poor excuse for poor communication and it’s simply not acceptable when we were at least a year into the pandemic

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I would’ve known how long roadways would have taken to have been completed when we moved in we were told within a couple of months all of the roads would be done however we ended up living in mud and dust for almost a year until the roads were done which wasn’t fun .

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I’ve lived in verwood for 9 years and love the area. Not to far from the main road to Bournemouth or Southampton. Beautiful county side, fantastic nursery’s and schools.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Still waiting for items to be repaired, no date set on their return. Mastic has been re done which has resulted in the paint being taken off, don’t have any follow up to make this repair looking as it should.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Would of been nice to have a handover And shown how the heating etc works, but due to COVID no handover was made.

one that could have been improved by better control of the early design process

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Although Verwood centre is fairly sleepy it does have the basic essentials in terms of amenities. The Potters Wood development is conveniently located to walk to these amenities but for anything special it's a car trip to Bournemouth, Salisbury or the like. If walking in the countryside is your thing then Potters Wood and Verwood generally is ideal - dog walker's heaven. Having previously lived in London it's a pleasure being able to park with ease and enjoying the area with other socially responsible people.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Customer services have responded to all issues raised by passing the necessary actions to the subcontractor responsible. Whilst this has resolved the problems the developer has failed to provided the comforting ' arm around the shoulder' to sort problems at source or to check that issues have been resolved satisfactorily.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We wish we had appreciated that the developer had intended to have such an elongated programme of completion of the development after we had completed our purchase. We still await the completion of footpaths etc nearly a year after moving in.

Major issues still not resolved

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Verwood is a small town with a range of small independent shops and Tesco Express all within walking distance of the development. There is a large Morrison’s a bit further away. The development backs onto a SANG area which in turn leads to the woods behind with miles of walks. Access to the SANG has not been prepared properly on the side of the development with the gated entrance impassable when there is heavy rain due to mud which is then trodden into the development by walkers.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

For low level issues It takes PF months to eventually deal with them. For issues involving larger expense they spend months arguing to try to avoid responsibility. Unless we have escalated a problem to formal complaint level it has not been dealt with. We have rarely been given a schedule of works with contractors arriving unexpectedly at anytime. On the occasion we were give a schedule it was not adhered to. Other properties have been built and sold while we still wait for our issues to be resolved and work completed.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That moving into a new house with Pennyfarthing would offer no advantages over buying an older property that needs work.
