Very good design probably the most attractive in the area

Very good design probably the most attractive in the area, there are children a play. Facilities but no shop on the development, it’s probably too small for that. Annuals management fee is £250 or so and this mainly covers maintenance of the landscaped areas

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There is a a local store 5 mins walk. A new bus stop provides good service every 20 mins to Bath. Parking is very good and there is a lovely open space adjacent.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes I had a number of snags delay with in a timely fashion .

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The location is better than I thought as it also close to Box as well as Corsham

I really like the fact we are not too close to each other, that we are not a big estate, It is kept up together and looks lovely, there is good mix of houses, shops are not far away, there is a small park for the children. Only minus is the small garden's

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I really like we are not far from the countryside, Corsham is a lovely small town with most things available. Bath is only 25 min's away, the M4 is also close, with a possible rail link opening.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, i had a few minor problems that were delt with quickly

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is a good community spirit, We have raised money for Things to help the estate

Houses look good, but the quality is as bad as Remus management

Houses look nice, but the quality isn’t what you would expect for what you pay and their appearance. They also get very cold very quickly, so one has to question how well insulated they are. Remus property is also rundown, being terrible when it comes to comms, unless it’s to send you a bill, which goes up every year and yet the service remains the same. For instance, their gardening costs are astronomical, and yet they send a 20-year-old to cut the grass when the grass is either dormant or has dried up from the heat. Only the front of the development is more regularly maintained.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Not much going on in Corsham, other than charity shops and a few rundown shops around the Coop super market. Hopefully they’ll open the train station and it breathes some life into the place.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Uncommunicative, never pick up phones, never answer emails. Once they never admitted that they sent over two builders to fix a broken pipe in my garden without giving notice, which shortly after resulted in reduced water bills. Coincidence? Don’t think so. Luckily, Wessex Water, who said it wasn’t them who sent the builders, reimbursed us.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish I’d known that Remus would be such an awful property manager and that they would keep putting up their prices with zero justification

Great location, wish the house was what was advertised

Lovely looking houses, but very impractical. The internal layout wasn’t thought through properly, everything is cheaply made and rushed (much like the development), so stuff breaks and falls apart all the time, and not exactly energy-efficient - house doesn’t hold the heat in. Property management (Remus) picks numbers out of thin air and sends you an annual bill that, when questioned, even THEY can’t explain. Maintenance of the development is carried out by some lad you might find working at Homebase. Communication from Remus and Redcliffe is great until they have your money, after which point they’re hard to get a hold of. Gardens, mine and a lot of the neighbours’, are sloped and they have so much rubble underneath that they become boggy and make it very difficult to keep the lawn healthy/grow plants. Garages are too small to keep your car in, and it’s only a few houses on the estate that have a twin garage - most of them don’t.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It’s fairly quiet, but it has some lovely pubs and places to eat. M4 is only a stone’s throw away. Bristol isn’t very far away, and Bath is only 15 mins away. There are a few loud drivers that seem to have installed rockets in their cars, so now and again they speed by the estate for no obvious reason, but generally the local wildlife seems tame and polite. Train station is planned to open in a few years time, so that will make it easier to get in a train directly to London. We’re happy that we bought a house here, just wish it was with a better developer.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They’re difficult to get a hold of and will maybe answer once but not follow up

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Rising costs of property management. House being so energy inefficient

Perfect house, perfect community

Great house design (Bibury) and good sized garden. Lovely sense of community and have so many amazingly helpful neighbours. We have really enjoyed living here for the past 5 years. We were one of the first in and have seen the development grow. Few snagging items but all sorted now. Great residents association to help guide us forward. Very happy.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Perfect home in perfect location. Great links to London, Bath and countryside. Local shop and postbox just a short walk away. Country walks on doorstep. Play park in the development (for older kids) and a playpark over the road for the younger ones. Great primary schools and secondary schools.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

All snagging items were dealt with as soon as they were raised

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
