I really like my apartment and the lounges are wonderful however repairs in the lounges and corridors are very slow to be fixed. There can be a hole in a wall and it will stay that way for months. The apartment is well designed and spacious. I love that there is a cafe open for lunch. The staff is wonderful as is the carers and office staff. Abby is delightful The lounges are lovely. We'll designed and also cosy. The gardens are beautiful, mainly the work of residents who volunteer.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There's an Aldi within a short walk but there's a fence so you have to walk a long way around instead of direct. There's also an Italian restaurant next to Aldi. There's a bus stop right outside.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The issues above have not been fixed however I recently had a problem with my windows and Steve fixed it immediately.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I can't think of anything but the social life is very good. You can be as involved as you wish or not if you prefer.

I’ve lived in my flat for over two years. It’s very light and airy. The kitchen is clean and modern the large frost free fridge freezer is very useful. The the bathroom has lots of aids to help me including a walk in shower and lots of handles to help support me. Overall I have no complaints, the staff here work hard to sort out issues and problems.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I’ve lived at Guildacre for just over two years now. The facility is clean and modern. The gardens are very nice. There is a nice Italian restaurant not far away and an Aldi supermarket. There are several bus routes just outside the facility with regular services.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Management do respond to problems. I’ve had a new oven fitted and plumbing problems resolved. Some lift problems remain however.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish I had a ground floor flat or a flat that overlooks the gardens.

There are no bad aspects of living here.

The whole complex has been well designed offering spacious communal lounges if and when you feel the need for company. The apartments have all the facilities you need for private living. The on site staff are always there when needed. The residents have a social club which organise in house entertainment as well as outside trips. There is no pressure to be involved if you wish to remain private. There are regular meetings if you wish to raise concerns again no pressure to do so.Its a relaxed place to live.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are no bad aspects of living here.If you are able the bus pick up is at the door.Taxi pick up is undercover.Ample car parking though the spaces are tight.Aldi is 3 mins walk as is a pub/ restaurant.Hairdresser and cafe on site with home delivery.Household items sold weekly in foyer.lounge areas spacious and clean with staff always there for help. Can not recommend it more highly.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

On the rare occasion I required a response to a problem it was been attended to promptly and efficiently

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It is important to factor in the added care costs.
