Stunning from afar, ruined by the local crime

The development itself is stunning to view from afar, however it is quickly overshadowed by the poor property management and the crime in the area. The lack of care for the welfare of the residents by the local authorities and the property managers is dumbfounding. The design of the flats themselves are great, although have slight flaws as they were built fairly quickly. The facilities could do with an upgrade as there are none.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is fairly rough and there is a daily stream of sirens from police dealing with crime in the area. The street has a reputation for parcel theft and we no longer get packages or important mail delivered here. There is the local Nisa shop that is a great little convenience store but attracts bad crowds. There is also a shisha bar that furthers the aura of bad energy.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They do not respond after several attempts to contact them.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That there is a service black out inside the block and the crime levels are high.

Not the worst

The facilities advertised were not there when we moved in, for example it stated a gym. The building feels quite low quality. It doesn't have regular upkeep. It's kind of fair for the price that I pay as a long standing resident but definitely not for some of the new prices.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Pros - Local to town, corner shop below the development. Cons- Carpark and building are unsecure. Poor quality building. Lot's of building theft.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They are quick to respond and all problems have been sorted.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Don't get parcels delivered here as they will get stolen.

Can’t recommend this place

The building is ugly, management is non-existing (though some flat owners fight to make it better). I’m sure it’s a life risk to stay there. Sewage, fire risk and criminals luring around. Bin room is unsafe and disgusting, “water” from sewage system dripped down for a year, when it’s windy it’s windy inside your home as well!!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

This is the worst place I’ve ever been - badly made construction, no management, dirty, a paradise for criminals. It’s unsafe to live there. Nothing promised were actually there, such as gym and cycle storage. If you dream about a life with paranoia and a general mental health situation, this place is good, otherwise find something else. Location is good, but there are better options close by.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Never did. Mainly called the police and not the building management.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How bad the area was. One thing is the bad building, but so many criminals in that area - with access to the buildings - made it so unsafe.

Not the best whatsover, feels unsafe

Yu Nai (Tenant)

The design of the building is alright. The facilities are non-existant, apparently a gym was promised but never came. Things take ages to be fixed, and if the fire alarm goes off at all, the doors will be left open for days on end. There is a lot of work that needs to be done.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local shops are alright. The area feels dangerous though. There are always people breaking in and damaging cars. Some people get loud knocks on their door. There was clearly a budget cuts as the building is filthy too.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They take ages to respond, if they try and fix something, it's uncertain if what they will do will actually help.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How unsafe the area is and how easy it is for intruders to get in.

The main door never locks, we have cockroaches, Kids running around banging on residents doors. Security is useless. Building management never answer, Sewage coming in through the toilets, homeless peoples invading the halls the list is endless. Oh and not to mention that the building is half built, no carpets on the stairs, lift always breaks. But the view is nice

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Positives: Nisa local staff are lovely, very close to Manchester centre Negatives: Anti social behaviour, cockroaches, no parking, bins overflow

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They dont, they always make us pay for the issues they cant solve

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The community of people who live there are lovely but we all struggle with the management of the building
