Hi folks this account is set up to detail the horrendous experience of a purchasing a new house from Wynyard Homes at Coniscliffe Rise West Park. I live in one of their + £500,000 homes in Hartlepool and the number of unsatisfied customers is unbelievable. Please do not make the same mistake I made and purchase a property on this development as the frustration and heartache really sour the experience of moving into “Your Dream Home”. Local Bars are nice with access to great restaurants and coffe shops. The local parks and access to the sea is another asset.

Honestly wish we NEVER bought this house from this developer

The farms fields and the sun with the wildlife roaming about

Nice area, good size plots the estate has a family friendly feel

Never had any issues with the property but there was a few snags when first moved in, the agent was great and they were corrected really quickly. Love the size of the property all rooms are a good size, and you can actually fit a car in the garage and still have space.

In easy reach of local shops and schools on the door step

Even though the site is now finished the road surface still isn't complete.

Good size garden, garage is a great size too with lots of space

The development itself was well priced for the square footage we bought. Decent size gardens for the plots. Materials used and construction of the properties in my experience alone has been challenging and we have had more than our fair share.

Excellent access and walking distance to several schools and the local shops.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The issues people were having with properties already purchased and the lack of ownership to resolve (having to pay for repairs ourselves) in the majority of cases due to poor workmanship or attention to detail. Drains on the estate (estate responsibility) are a joke !!

What is the best feature of your home:

Love the overall plan & layout of our home along with our garden.

For the price we’re paying for the houses, they’re quite expensive, majority of the houses on the estate have had several problems, to which the builders don’t rush to sort out, and when they do decide to sort out the problems the repairs are not completed to high standards, we have only recently got road signs and still waiting on the road and pavements to be sorted out.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The estate is very accessible to the local bus route, there’s a couple of shops including a post office only 5 minute walk away. Majority of people have two cars or more so parking can be hard, parents from the local schools also park on the estate making it hard to get in and out

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The builders take your money off you quickly, but are not quick to deal with problems.

What is the best feature of your home:

Best feature for us, would have to be the double drive.

Very disappointed that the road is still not complete even though the estate has been finished for a while. House is built and designed well and the layout of the estate really works. Gardens are a decent size and the estate manages to get sun for majority of the day
