Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We really enjoy living at Somerbrook. The development is in a rural village, which is very quiet but everyone we have met has been lovely. The local pubs, post office and allotments are the highlights!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The snagging list was quite long but it has all been sorted now. Most of it was done to a high standard but somethings took months longer than they should have.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish we asked more questions about the garden as the soil quality was quite poor and the turf has taken a lot of attention to get it going.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The good aspects of living within Somerford is the local shop and post office . There is also a local pub which is friendly and offer good quality reasonable priced food and drinks. There is also a school near by with Malemsbury only 9 minutes from the village. The village has minimal traffic passing by and the only noise is of animals which is comforting and safe. t

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have raised defects with the property and some of these were completed efficiently. However we still have ongoing pending defects since moving in October 2021. However its easy to communicate with them to get updates. There was an incident were someone was coming around to look at final defects however myself and my fiancé work full time. We tried to re-arrange but this was not applicable and we missed out on the viewing of defects.

Ensure all emails regarding defects are recorded as there has been confusion around outstanding defects.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great countryside for walks and the local pub and shop are a nice bonus. There is a fantastic pub in the next village which is within walking distance.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have had a few snags but the team seem happy to keep coming back to fix them. I think they are learning a little bit as this is their first new build development. Everyone has been a pleasure to work with.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Do your own research on things such as the price of lpg vs mains connected gas and ofnl internet.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local area is beautiful. Local amenities are sufficient and proportional to the size of the village. Lovely pub nearby. Good Local play park, and the church is very friendly.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very friendly and responsive site managers - very pleased

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is a power transmission pylon next to the house. In the summer when I viewed, it was dry so there was no noise from the pylon. However in wet conditions it is quite noisy.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is lovely .

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very slow . Some issues reported in October are still not sorted.

To check that wifi in all properties is up and running before people move in .
