I think it is a great complex in terms of the design. However, building and property management are often disappointing. Some of the residential services team are great and go out of their way to help, however we feel management does not really care about us. I also don’t think management treet the resident services team very well.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I personally think that it is a great area as I like that it is 10 minutes away from the city centre via the tram or 10 minutes away from media city via the tram. Perfect for me. The complex is on Trafford Road however, which is a very busy road with vehicles including lorries and buses. Therefore, it’s very loud even with the windows open as there is a constant sound of engines plus regularly sirens from emergency vehicles.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have complained many times, but they always send back a diplomatic carefully worded response suggesting we discuss our concerns further in person. It feels like they do not listen and try to suggest talking in person as they think we are scared to. I am not scared to I just can’t be bothered to waste my time talking to someone who will not listen

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Be careful of the annual rental increases. Yearly, ours has gone up by £250 since moving in. Plus £125 pcm for parking. It’s also hard to get a parking space as there’s a wait for spots.

Facilities are fantastic! Great little gym and a communal working space with coffee, tea and water provided along with a cinema room and kitchen available to rent out along with a parcel room ensuring you never miss deliveries. Building staff are lovely and chatty, always happy to help out.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lovely bar, coffee shop and barbers below the building with wonderful staff. Tram and bus stop across the street making travelling easy. Traffic noise can be loud especially facing towards the road and can get loud and busy outside on match days due to being in close proximity to old Trafford.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues are responded to fast and resolved quickly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Proximity to great places like media city! I had no idea how close by it was. Prior warning about football noise and traffic would also have been valuable but would not have changed our decision to rent here.

Super modern and nice building, management have always been friendly and very hopeful. The gym has a good amount of equipment too and the view of the quays is lovely! The downstairs area is also great, love the pool and ping pong table. I’ve never used the cinema room or the dining space but it looks great.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It’s amazing! Great location, super close to the tram station and a co-op right down stairs. Local restaurants and shops are a short walk away or you can hop on the tram into Manchester.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, they’ve always been helpful and have helped my with any issues I’ve had.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

No extra insights for me, there’s not much parking but that’s pretty standard in Manchester!

It is modern, clean with decent amenities and social area

It is modern, clean with decent amenities and social area. We only rent so difficult to make the flat too homely as all walls are white but lots of light through the huge windows. The team on the front desk are lovely, it’s great not having to worry about someone being home for parcels etc.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It is a great place to live, close enough to the city centre that you can get there in 10 minutes (on a good day) but you also have some space to escape. The quays are a great place for walking / running and getting some fresh air.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

N/A - I can’t recall that we have raised anybissues

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I think parking is expensive - I didn’t have a car when I moved in but do now.

The concierge team are lovely and helpful, really easy to talk to and they actively try to think of ways to make living in Clippers Quay better. It’s so handy that each apartment building has its own entrance but are also interconnected from the main reception entrance. The building and apartments are lovely with lots of natural light. Facilities are great with a gym and communal hub room and also a cinema room and dining room that can be booked out. Lots of bin storage as well.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lots of shops close by including a Tesco Extra just a 15 minute walk away. Lovely walks down to media city next to the canal and Ordsall Park is only a 10 minute walk. We’re very lucky to have a bar on site as well and there will soon be an Italian restaurant opening. There is a tram stop over the road and one round the corner to get you to either the city centre of Trafford centre. We do get traffic noise as our apartment overlooks the main road but it’s not overwhelming.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Responded really well with fab communication. Issues are always sorted quickly or we are kept up to date with progress.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known about the big advertising screen opposite the flat. It didn’t take long to get used to but was a pain at the beginning with the screen light shining behind the blinds.
